Green Queen was launched by Jennifer Hankey, Atlanta eco-expert, who has been educating people about the dangers of chemicals in everyday products since 2010. Jennifer’s passion for more natural living was expanded in 2011 when her own daughter was born with 19 food allergies and eczema covering her body.

With no family history and desperate to find answer, Jennifer began to investigate how environmental factors may be linked to the increasing frequency of these conditions in children today. She was astounding to learn, according to the experts, that 54% of children are now facing a chronic condition, 12% have asthma, and 13% have food allergies... to name a few. With knowledge of how many chemicals lurked in our homes and chemicals used in everyday services, Jennifer was determined to not only to change the environment in her own home for the better, but the environment for all children and families.

Green Queen was created to provide a simple, affordable, nontoxic option to all the traditional services and chemicals used in and around your home. Moms and so many of us are busy and need a one-stop-shop where they can easily impact the health of their families in a positive and meaningful way. Combining not only cleaning, but pest control, mosquito, termite and turf care into one business allowed moms the ease of working with one company that is truly dedicated to nontoxic options. The administration, technicians and staff at Green Queen are truly dedicated to creating healthier communities…one home at a time!

As an avid researcher and teacher in the field of toxins and their effects on children, she has educated thousands of parents, teachers and professionals about the dangers of chemicals in everyday products. Jennifer uses her knowledge and working relationships with sustainable, health-conscious companies to provide solutions for schools on a budget. Healthy Green Schools was launched specifically to provide "green" education to teachers, administrators and parents and to help all schools remove toxic chemicals from their schools affordably.

In June of 2015 Jennifer discovered that as she was recommending healthy, nontoxic options for parents, that there was a gap in the market for companies that didn't "cheat" in the fields of green cleaning, bug control, mosquito control and turf care. In order to provide these critical services and to offer a truly healthy home, Green Queen: Nontoxic Services was launched and services a large group of customers in the Atlanta area.

Jennifer has a been featured on a variety of television stations on the topic of toxic chemicals and health. She is a regular feature guest with a natural lifestyle segment on NBC’s Atlanta & Company talk show and has been featured in a variety of health and wellness and national and local interest magazines such as Mother Earth Living, Simply Buckhead, Best Self Magazine and has been a national blogger on environmentally and nontoxic focused websites such as Safer Chemicals Healthy Families. Jennifer does public speaking engagements in large schools, at national conventions and to moms groups.

As the Mother of two little girls, Jennifer’s passions and personal convictions about protecting all children from the damaging effects of everyday chemicals led her to create a nationwide movement with Green Queen in order to allow every child to have a healthy home environment.
