The first powerhouse ingredient used at Green Queen is peppermint oil. Peppermint oil is effective for controlling (sometimes in conjunction with other ingredients):

  • Ants
  • Mosquitoes
  • Spiders
  • Boxelder bugs
  • Centipedes
  • Cockroaches
  • Fleas
  • Ticks

And more! Peppermint oil is one of the BEST ingredients for spiders, which are very hard to control– even with traditional chemicals!

How to use

  • On cotton balls and hide in different areas
  • Dilute in water and spot spray infested areas
  • Spray around exterior windows and doors for prevention

Be Mindful

  • Be mindful about using peppermint oil inside, as peppermint has a  STRONG smell! Test in a small area to see how the smell affects you before applying it to a larger area.
  • It’s also important to be mindful of peppermint oil around cats and pregnant women. Talk to your veterinarian or doctor before using it indoors around cats or during pregnancy.

At Green Queen, we use peppermint oil as a preventative ingredient  for outdoor pests such as mosquitoes.
